About the Instructors

Ana Pinto Martinho
Ana Pinto Martinho is the online publisher of the European Journalism Observatory in Portuguese, she at Obercom and assistant researcher at CIES-IUL. She also contributes for the Digital News Report, issued by the Reuters Institute for The Study of Journalism, on the Portuguese analysis. She coordinates the data journalism and visual journalism courses at CENJOR.
Ana Pinto Martinho teaches data journalism, media and journalism, storytelling, visual communication and social media related areas at ISCTE - IUL. As a journalist she directed the iGOV project, a media outlet dedicated to the areas of public administration, government, eGovernment, open data and citizenship.
She was also a journalist for the Portuguese edition of InformationWeek magazine, director of the publication Interface - Public Administration, worked for newspapers such as Diário de Notícias, Semanário Sol, and RTP Informação. She is currently working on her PhD at ISCTE. Ana has a Master's degree in Communication, Culture and Information Technologies (ISCTE) and a Bachelor's Degree in Communication Sciences (Universidade da Beira Interior).

Ricardo Rosa
In the digital journalism world for over 22 years, he was one of SIC Online’s founders and journalist coordinator at SIC Notícias’ website. After 18 years in a newsroom, he’s now a product manager, with skills in audience acquisition, retention and engagement, SEO, and data analysis.
Graduated in Journalism at Escola Superior de Comunicação Social, he was once a guest teacher at the Post-Graduate Program in Multimedia Journalism at Universidade Nova de Lisboa and is currently also a trainer at Cenjor.
