What
This Call seeks to provide financial support to local, regional and global not-for-profit organisations for implementation of projects contributing to bolstering journalists’ legal safety and advancing media freedom through investigative journalism and strategic litigation.
Funding
An indicative budget of USD 800,000 will be awarded to support meaningful action that helps break the cycle of impunity for crimes against journalists, distributed in grants ranging from USD 15,000 to USD 50,000 (estimated number of grants: 16 to 25).
Cost Eligibility: The budget financed by UNESCO/GMDF should only include direct costs relevant to the achievement of the project objectives.
