Who?
In order to be eligible, the applicants (beneficiaries and affiliated entities) must:
- be legal entities (public or private bodies)
- be established in one of the eligible countries, i.e.:
- Creative Europe Participating Countries:
- EU Member States (including overseas countries and territories (OCTs))
- non-EU countries: listed EEA countries and countries associated to the Creative Europe Programme or countries which are in ongoing negotiations for an association agreement and where the agreement enters into force before grant signature (list of participating countries)
- Creative Europe Participating Countries:
Consortium composition
Proposals must be submitted by a consortium of at least two applicants (beneficiaries; not affiliated entities), which complies with the following conditions:
- minimum two independent entities from two different eligible countries
- with experience in the music business and in particular with a proven knowledge in organising big events like music festivals with an outreach of 30 000 people or more
The coordinator must have had a legal existence for at least 2 years on the date of the deadline for submission.
What?
The purpose of this call for proposals is to select and support a consortium in organising and administering the European Union Prize for popular and contemporary music, the Music Moves Europe Awards for the period 2024-2027 (editions 2025, 2026, 2027 and 2028 of the Prize). The Music Moves Europe Awards are one of the special actions implemented under the Culture strand of the Creative Europe programme, the EU programme dedicated to cultural and creative sectors.
In line with the general objective of the Creative Europe programme, this EU prize wants to highlight and promote the richness of the European repertoire and the diversity of its music landscape. It aims at celebrating and supporting young emerging talents at the beginning of their international career. The winners of the prizes will be from countries participating in the Culture strand of the Creative Europe programme.
Eligibility
Themes and priorities (scope)
The activities specified in the objectives must focus on the management and organisation of the EU prize for popular and contemporary music for the edition 2025, 2026, 2027 and 2028 (four years), in particular
- the selection process9
- the nurturing and skilling of emerging talents through handing out a monetary prize and by designing a tailor-made training scheme,
- the promotion and celebration of the diverse popular and contemporary European repertoire by organising a high-profile award ceremony and further side-events and by implementing a coherent and efficient communication and marketing strategy.

Funding
The estimated available call budget is 2.400.000,00 €, i.e.:
- 600.000,00 € per year.
The eligible costs will be reimbursed at the funding rate fixed in the Grant Agreement [maximum 80%].
